Dills � Subdivision as recorded in Book 149 Page 47 of the ' records in the Recorder's Office; thence North 422 . 95 ! feet along the West line of said alley to a point located 10 feet North of the Southeast Corner of Lot 12 , of said B. Dills Subdivision; thence East 16 feet to the point of beginning, containing 0.16 acres, more or less; and, WHEREAS, said portion of said alley is no longer useful to the public or to the City or to the owners of property abutting thereon as an alley; and, WHEREAS, the public interest will be subserved by vacating said portion of said alley and the public will be relieved from any further burden or responsibility for maintaining said portion � of said alley. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section l. That the above-described portion of said alley be, and the same is hereby, vacated as a public alley effective and upon the exceptions and conditions hereinafter provided, inasmuch as the same is no longer required for public use and the public interest will be subserved by said vacation, said portion of said alley being shown on the plat thereof hereto attached and hereby made a part hereof.
