OTHER DIVISIONS - DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. <br /> Divisions other than the Police Services Division and Fire <br /> Services Division may have police officers or firefighters <br /> assigned thereto, and transferred therefrom, at the discretion of <br /> the Director of Safety Services, and all divisions of the Safety <br /> Services Department shall have such duties and responsibilities <br /> as are assigned to each by the City Manager, including but not <br /> limited to the following: <br /> (a) To keep all records for the Department; <br /> (b) To provide communication capability for the Department; <br /> (c) To enforce animal control ordinances and statutes; <br /> �d}--ge-e��e�ee-pa�����-e�d��anee9; <br /> �e} (d) To encourage the prevention of crime and fire; <br /> {�} (e) To investigate arsons; and, <br /> {�} (f) To perform such other functions and duties as may be <br /> assigned from time to time by the City Manager. <br /> Chapter 16 <br /> Section 5 . <br /> (o) Enforce parking ordinances; <br /> {e} (p) Control , supervise, maintain repair, improve and <br /> operate the water works of the City. The term "water works" <br /> shall mean and include the entire physical property of the City <br /> of Decatur, Illinois used in raw and treated water storage, <br /> treatment, purification, pumping and distribution and shall <br /> include the reservoir commonly known as Lake Decatur and all <br /> appurtenances thereto; and, <br /> (q) Perform such other functions and duties as may be <br /> assigned from time to time by the City Manager. <br />
