Decisions of the Commission which revoke or suspend a <br /> license may be appealed to the Decatur City Council, and <br /> such decision may only be reversed by said Council by <br /> the affirmative vote of five (5) or more members of the <br /> Council. Application for such appeal shall be submitted <br /> to the City Clerk within ten ( l0) days of the <br /> Commission's final decision. <br /> 12 . COMMISSION ESTABLISHED. There is hereby <br /> created an Electrical Commission, which shall consist of <br /> seven (7) members to be appointed by the Mayor with the <br /> advice and consent of the Council. To the extent <br /> practicably possible, the Commission shall include one <br /> (1) electrical contractor, one (1) officer of the Local <br /> IBEW, one (1) registered professional engineer and one <br /> (1) representative of an electrical utility supply <br /> company; however, no action or decision of the <br /> Commission shall be invalid for failure to have on the <br /> Commission, or in attendance at the meeting or hearing <br /> whereat the action or decision was taken or made, any <br /> person meeting any of the criteria listed herein. All <br /> persons shall serve without compensation. Officers and <br /> employees of the City are prohibited from membership on <br /> said Commission. <br /> Section 3 . Members of the Electrical Commission currently <br /> serving thereon on the effective date of this Ordinance shall <br /> continue their memberships for the remainder of their appointed <br /> terms; provided that, any member of said Commission who is <br /> prohibited from serving thereon by the provisions of this <br /> Ordinance shall be removed therefrom by operation of this <br /> Ordinance on the effective date hereof, and in such case a <br /> vacancy on said Commission shall exist. <br /> Section 4 . That the City Clerk be, and she is hereby, <br /> authorized and directed to cause the provisions hereof to be <br /> appropriately set out in the City Code and to cause the same to <br /> be published in pamphlet form according to law. <br /> PRESENTED, PASSED, APPROVED AND RECORDED this 4th day of <br /> January, 1993. <br /> r <br /> e > ' �f I <br /> ERIK C.
