ORDINANCE NO. � �"� AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY - PROPERTY LYING NORTH OF ARBOR DRIVE SOUTH OF HICKORY POINT ROAD AND WEST OF OAKLAND AVENUE - WHEREAS, there having been filed with the City Clerk, and by said Clerk presented to the Council herewith, the petition under oath of Mary Ann Heinz, individually and as Attorney-in-Fact for Gloria Anderson and Martha Kendall requesting that there be annexed to the City territory described as: The East Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 21 Township 17 Range 2 East of the 3rd P.M. , EXCEPT that portion taken for State right-of-way purposes, said taking being recorded in Book 1850 Page 243 of the records in the Recorder' s Office of Macon County, Illinois; and, WHEREAS, it appears said petition is signed by the owners of record of all land within such territory and that no electors reside therein, and that said territory is contiguous to the City and not within the corporate limits of any city, village or incorporated town or other municipality; and, WHEREAS, notice of intention to take action for annexation has been given as required. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1 . That said petition and the request thereof be, and the same are hereby, approved. Section 2 . That said territory hereinabove described, along with all parts of public highways therein or next and adjacent thereto not heretofore annexed, if any, be, and the same are hereby, annexed to and are incorporated into the limits of the City of Decatur, Illinois , a municipal corporation. Section 3 . That a plat of said annexed premises is attached hereto and hereby made a part hereof.
