The same having been duly placed and <br /> remained on file as required, and subject to the additions, <br /> modifications, changes and deletions set out herein, the BOCA Na- <br /> tional Fire Prevention Code/�98�1990 of Building Officials and <br /> Code Administrators International, Inc. is hereby adopted by <br /> reference. <br /> 2 . AORDS AND PHRASES. The Code adopted hereby may be cited <br /> and known as the Fire Prevention Code and is so referred to <br /> herein. Whenever in said Code the words, "name of jurisdiction" <br /> appear in brackets, said Code is modified by removal of said <br /> brackets and substitution of the words "the City of Decatur, I1- <br /> linois" in lieu of the words contained therein, and said Code <br /> shall be taken and construed as if such were expressly so set out <br /> therein. Whenever in said Code reference is made to the board of <br /> appeals such shall be taken to mean and shall be construed to <br /> refer to the Construction and Housing Board of Appeals of the <br /> City. Whenever in said Code reference is made to standards <br /> listed in Appendix A thereof, such reference shall be construed <br /> as referring to the edition or version of such standard last pub- <br /> lished prior to Beeember-3�;-3�8-7 May 1, 1992 .
