prepared for the purpose of producing a visible or audible effect <br /> by combustion, explosion, deflagration or detonation, and shall <br /> include blank cartridges, toy pistols, toy cannons, toy canes or <br /> toy guns in which explosives are used, firecrackers, torpedoes, <br /> skyrockets, Roman candles, dago bombs, smoke devices, chasers and <br /> devices of like construction and any device containing any ex- <br /> plosive substance, except the term "fireworks" shall not in- <br /> clude auto flares, wire sparklers, snakes, glow worms, trick <br /> noisemakers and paper caps containing not in excess of .25 grain <br /> (16. 2 mg. ) of explosive content per cap and toy pistols, toy guns <br /> or other devices for use of such caps, the sale and use of which <br /> shall be permitted at all times. The following numbered sections are <br /> hereby added to said Code as herein indicated: <br /> F-2701. 1. 1 Building: No permit to sell fireworks may be <br /> issued unless such fireworks will be sold from a building meeting <br /> all applicable requirements of all City of Decatur building and <br /> safety codes. <br /> F-2701. 5 Revocation: Any permit issued hereunder may be <br /> revoked or suspended by the City Manager upon two (2) days notice <br /> in writing to the permittee of opportunity to be heard, for any <br /> violation by the permittee of the provisions of the Fire Preven- <br /> tion Code or the regulations duly adopted thereunder, and such <br /> suspension or revocation may be in addition to any fine imposed. <br /> F-2701. 6 Sale of Fireworks: Persons or entities holding <br /> permits for the sale of fireworks may only sell such fireworks to <br /> persons or entities holding valid and current permits for the <br /> display or discharge of said fireworks. <br /> (AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 90-51, April 30, 1990) - <br />
