EXCERPTS FROM
TRAFFIC & PARKING COMMITTEE MEETING
MARCH 11, 1992
ITEM #6 Request by Safety Services for "No Parking" on both
sides of King Street between Pine and Van Dyke between
the hours of 6: 00 p.m. to 6: 00 a.m.
Wayne Hughes stated that the "No Parking" will help to
control the gathering of crowds often in excess of 300 people at
a car wash and ttiat the 90-day request would be helpful if made
permanent. Ie said that the owner of the car wash intends to
post "No Trespassing" signs on his property to help with police
enforcement.
David Swartz stated that the Commission has done this in the
past and it seems to be effective.
. Judy Moss moved to accept the staff's recommendation to make
King Street "No Parking" on both sides, Chris Herring seconded
the motion and it was unanimously carried.
