ORDINANCE NO. `( � -- L <br /> AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING STOP INTERSECTION <br /> - PROSPECT AND NORTH WAL-MART/RT. 51 ENTRANCE - <br /> BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1 . That when appropriate signs are erected <br /> giving notice thereof, the driver of a vehicle on Prospect <br /> approaching the North Wal-Mart/Route 51 Entrance from either <br /> direction shall stop and yield the right-of-way to vehicles <br /> on the North Wal-Mart/Route 51 Entrance which have entered <br /> the intersection of said streets or which are approaching so <br /> closely thereto as to constitute an immediate hazard, but <br /> said driver having so stopped and yielded the right-of-way <br /> may proceed at such time as a safe interval occurs. <br /> Section 2. That any person, firm or corporation who <br /> shall violate any of the provisions of this ordinance shall, <br /> upon conviction, be fined not less than Ten Dollars ($10 . 00) <br /> nor more than Two Hundred Dollars ($200 . 00) for each <br /> offense. <br /> Section 3 . That the provisions of all ordinances in <br /> conflict with the provisions of this ordinance which insofar <br /> as the same do conflict therewith be, and the same are <br /> hereby, repealed. <br /> PRESENTED, PASSED, APPROVED AND RECORDED this 18th day <br /> of May, 1992. <br /> � <br /> ,�, <br /> , <br /> � � <br /> ERI C.
