! • � � <br /> ORDINANCE NO. / 02 — � � <br /> AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY ENTIRELY <br /> SURROUNDED BY THE CITY LIMITS OF DECATUR <br /> - TRACT I - <br /> WHEREAS, certain unincorporated territory labeled Tract <br /> I described as follows: <br /> SEE EXHIBIT A ATTACHED HERETO AND <br /> HEREBY MADE A PART HEREOF <br /> is wholly bounded and surrounded by the boundaries of the <br /> City of Decatur, Illinois; and, <br /> WHEREAS, such territory is less than sixty (60) acres in <br /> area; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Council finds that such territory should be <br /> annexed to the City of Decatur, Illinois; and, <br /> WHEREAS, notice of the contemplated annexation of said <br /> territory has been given as provided by law. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br /> THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That said territory hereinabove described, <br /> along with all parts of public highways therein or next and <br /> adjacent thereto not heretofore annexed, if any, be, and the <br /> same are hereby, annexed to and are incorporated into the <br /> limits of the City of Decatur, Illinois, a municipal <br /> corporation. <br /> Section 2 . That a plat of said annexed premises is <br /> attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> Section 3 . That the City Clerk cause certified copies <br /> of this ordinance to be respectively filed with the <br /> Postmaster of Decatur, Illinois, and the County Clerk of <br /> Macon County and recorded by the Recorder of Deeds of Macon <br /> County, Illinois. <br />
