, ♦ . _ ORDINANCE NO. �� ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE CHAPTER 13 - SAFETY SERVICES DEPARTMENT BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1 . That the City Code be, and it is hereby, amended at Sections 4 and 8 of Chapter 13 thereof so that said sections as so amended shall provide as follows: 4 . DIVISIONS. The Safety Services Department shall consist of the Police Services Division, the Fire Services Division and such other divisions as may be established by the City Manager. 8 . OTHER DIVISIONS - DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. Divisions other than the Police Services Division and the Fire Services Division may have police officers or firefighters assigned thereto, and transferred therefrom, at the discretion of the Director of Safety Services, and all divisions of the Safety Services Department shall have such duties and responsibilities as are assigned to each by the City Manager, including but not limited to the following: (a) To keep all records for the Department; (b) To provide communication capability for the Department; (c) To enforce animal control ordinances and statutes; (d) To enforce parking ordinances; (e) To encourage the prevention of crime and fire; (f) To investigate arsons; and, (g) To perform such other functions and duties as may I be assigned from time to time by the City Manager. Section 2 . That the City Clerk be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to cause the amendatory provisions hereof to be appropriately set out in said Code and the same to be published in pamphlet form.
