I � A I ORDINANCE NO. ��- � � ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE - CHAPTER 25 - - ELECTRICAL COMMISSION AND CONTR.ACTORS - BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OE' THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1 . That Chapter 25 of the City Code of the City of Decatur, Illinois, be, and the same is hereby, modified and amended at Section 12 thereof, so that as so modified and amended said Section 12 shall provide as follows: "12 . COMMISSION ESTABLISHED. There is hereby created an Electrical Commission, which shall consist of seven (7) members , as follows: The Electrical Inspector shall be a member and ex-officio chairman of the Commission; of the other six (6) men�vers, one shall be an electrical contractor, one a jour �.leyman electrician, one a representative of an inspecti�.�r� bureau maintained by the fire underwriters, if st�ch representative resides in the City, or if no such representative resides in the City, then a member of the Safety Services Department designated by the Director of Safety Services; one a representative of an electrical utility supply company, one an offi�er in IBEW Union Local 146 , and one shall be a regis�ered professional engineer. If there is no person residing in the City who is qualified under any one of these descriptions, the Mayor may appoint a representatzve of an electrical equipment supply company or some other person to fill that position. All members of the Electrical Commission other than City officers or employees shall � be a ointed b the Ma or with the advice and consent PP Y Y of the City Council and shall serve without compensation. " Section 2 . That the City Clerk be, and she is hereby, � authorized and directed to cause the amendatory provision hereof to be appropriately set out in the City Code and to cause this Ordinance to be published in pamphlet form.
