. � <br /> r� <br /> ORDINANCE NO. l � — � I <br /> AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING STOP INTERSECTION <br /> - FAIRVIEW AVENUE - <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That when appropriate signs are erected giving <br /> notice thereof, the driver of a vehicle on Fairview Avenue ap- <br /> proaching Cushing Street from either direction shall stop and <br /> yield the right-of-way to vehicles on Cushing Street which have <br /> entered the intersection of said streets or which are approaching <br /> so closely thereto as to constitute an immediate hazard, but said <br /> driver having so stopped and yielded the right-of-way may proceed <br /> at such time as a safe interval occurs. � <br /> Section 2 . That any person, firm or corporation who shall <br /> violate any of the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon con- � <br /> viction, be fined not less than Ten Dollars ($10. 00) nor more <br /> than Two Hundred Dollars ($200. 00) for each offense. <br /> Section 3 . That the provisions of all ordinances in con- <br /> flict with the provisions of this ordinance which insofar as the <br /> same do conflict therewith be, and the same are hereby repealed. <br /> PRESENTED, PASSED, APPROVED AND RECORDED this 3rd day of <br /> February, 1992 . <br /> � ,� <br /> < ' J <br /> ERIK .
