It is designed to have at least 16 1/2 pounds of <br /> buoyancy. <br /> ,�5) Type V - A Type V personal flotation device is an <br /> approved device for restricted use and is acceptable only when <br /> used in the activity for which it is approved. <br /> �E. Al1 children under ten (10) years of age must wear a <br /> Type I, II or III PFD at all times while occupying any boat or <br /> craft on Lake Decatur. <br /> F. A U. S. Coast Guard anproved Type V personal flotation <br /> device may be carried in lieu of the Type I , II , III or IV <br /> personal flotation device recruired in this Section, if the Type V <br /> personal flotation device is approved for the activitv in which <br /> it is being used. <br /> 23 . MIIFFLERS REQIIIRED. Except in cases of scheduled <br /> ac��i�ea�d racing events sanctioned by the Lake Manager or his <br /> authorized agent, it is unlawful to use a boat or craft on Lake <br /> Decatur propelled in whole or in part by gas, gasoline or naptha <br /> unless the same is provided with a stock factory muffler, <br /> underwater or other modern devices capable of ad.equately muffling <br /> the sounds of the exhaust of the engine. The phrase "adequately <br /> muffling" shall mean that the motor's exhaust at all times be so <br /> muffled or suppressed as not to create excessive or unusual <br /> noise. The discharqe of cooling water throucrh the exhaust of an <br /> inboard enctine shall be considered an adequate mufflina device. <br /> (AMENDED BY ORDINANCE. NO. 90-50, April 16, 1990) <br />
