Couter, Corporation Counsel��G <br /> RE: DeWitt County Well Field �� <br /> The well field currently being constructed by the City in <br /> DeWitt County lies on two non-contiguous tracts of land, one <br /> tract consisting of 80 acres and the other consisting of 40 <br /> acres. In order to transport water to the City from the 40 acre <br /> tract, it will be necessary to acquire an easement across the <br /> parcel which lies between the City' s two tracts of land. An <br /> ordinance authorizing acquisition of such an easement, and <br /> condemnation for same if required, is on the Council agenda for <br /> August 19 . <br /> Staff will be available to answer any questions on this <br /> matter, and recommends approval of the ordinance. <br />, JWC:pm <br />
