, <br /> Value of, principal of, and interest on any Book-Entry Bond and <br /> all notices with respect to such Bond shall be made and given, <br /> respectively, in the manner provided in the Representation <br /> Letter . <br /> (c) Bonds Lost, Destroyed, etc. If any Bond, whether <br /> in temporary or definitive form, is lost (whether by reason of <br /> theft or otherwisej , destroyed (whether by mutilation, damage, in <br /> whole or in part, or otherwise) or improperly cancelled, the Bond <br /> Registrar may authenticate a new Bond of like date, denomination <br /> and Original Principal Amount ( in the case of Capital Apprecia- <br /> tion Bonds) or principal amount ( in the case of Current Interest <br /> Bonds) and bearing a number not contemporaneously outstanding; <br /> provided that (a) in the case of any mutilated Bond, such muti- <br /> lated Bond shall first be surrendered to the Bond Registrar and <br /> (b) in the case of any lost Bond or Bond destroyed in whole, <br /> there shall be first furnished to the Bond Registrar evidence of <br /> such loss or destruction, together with indemnification of the <br /> City and the Bond Registrar, satisfactory to the Bond Regis- <br /> trar . In the event any lost, destroyed or improperly cancelled <br /> Bond shall have matured or is about to mature, or has been called <br /> for redemption, instead of issuing a duplicate Bond, the Bond <br /> Registrar shall pay the same without surrender thereof if there <br /> shall be first furnished to the Bond Registrar evidence of such <br /> loss, destruction or cancellation, together with indemnity, sat- <br /> isfactory to it.
