• a . . _` <br /> ORDINANCE NO. �l�-' � <br /> � <br /> AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING STOP INTERSECTION <br /> - EAST JOHNS STREET - <br /> BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1 . That when appropriate signs are erected giving <br /> notice thereof, the driver of a vehicle on East Johns Street <br /> approaching 17th Street from either direction shall stop and <br /> yield the right-of-way to vehicles on 17th Street which have <br /> entered the intersection of said streets or which are approaching <br /> so closely thereto as to constitute an immediate hazard, but said <br /> driver having so stopped and yielded the right-of-way may proceed <br /> at such time as a safe interval occurs. <br /> . Section 2 . That any person, firm or corporation who shall <br /> violate any of the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon <br /> conviction, be fined not less than Ten Dollars ($10 . 00) nor more <br /> than Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) for each offense. <br /> Section 3 . That the provisions of all ordinances in <br /> conflict with the provisions of this ordinance which insofar as <br /> the same do conflict therewith be, and the same are hereby, <br /> repealed. <br /> PRESENTED, PASSED, APPROVED AND RECORDED this 3rd day of <br /> June, 1991 . <br /> �~ / <br /> ,. <br /> /GARY K.
