ORDINANCE NO. � I� � � <br /> ORDINANCE ABATING LEVY <br /> GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS <br /> SERIES OF DECEMBER, 1987 <br /> WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 87-137 paesed and approved December 7, <br /> 1987, the Council caused general obligation bonds of the City to be <br /> issued and did levy therein certain sums to pay the principal of and <br /> interest on said bonds; and, <br /> WHEREAS, funds other than those raised by general taxation have or <br /> will become available to timely pay such principal and interest as the <br /> same become due in 1991 and 1992. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF TFiE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the levy for the year 1990 imposed by the <br /> provisions of Ordinance No. 87-137 in the amount of ;301,500 be, and the <br /> same is hereby, abated. <br /> Section 2. That the County Clerk of the County of Macon, Illinois, <br /> be and he is hereby, directed to refrain from extendinq said levy for <br /> said year. <br /> Section 3. That the City Treasurer be, and she is hereby, <br /> authorized and directed to timely pay said principal and interest from <br /> other funds of the City in the amount aforesaid which said funds are <br /> hereby appropriated for aaid purpose. <br /> Section 4. That the City Clerk be, and she is hereby, authorized <br /> and directed to cause a certified copy of this ordinance to be filed <br /> with said County Clerk. <br /> PRESENTED, PASSED, APPROVED AND RECORDED this � day of <br /> 1991. <br /> MAYOR <br /> ATTEST: <br /> � <br /> CZTY CLERK <br />
