v � <br /> •cate of Illinois I Here�� ���.tis��� �������� ���y�� �� <br /> �1Acon County SS Certify " ��� <br /> ThatThisInstrumentWasFiledFo �� <br /> Record At <br /> �� And <br /> ORDINANCE NO. � <br /> JAN N�i 1931 <br /> Recorded i n Sook 236�Page 4! <br /> ��� �J �� p, ORDINANCE VACATING AN EASEMENT <br /> d� a�, <br /> 16.00 � - GLATZ ADDITION - <br /> �Pe �rrrlpr (1f nPP�� <br /> �...�---- <br /> WHEREAS, a request has been received from Midat Assanow, <br /> Edna Assanow and Guy Assanow, the owners of all property abutting <br /> thereon requesting vacation by the City Council of a portion of <br /> an easement located between 2585 and 2567 East Geddes Avenue in <br /> the City of Decatur, Illinois, said portion of said easement <br /> being more particularly described as: <br /> Commencing at a point in the Northeast corner of Lot <br /> Seven (7) of Glatz Addition, as per Plat recorded in <br /> Book 958 , Page 7 of the records in the Recorder' s Office <br /> of Macon County, Illinois; thence South, along the East <br /> boundary line of said Lot Seven (7) , a distance of 221 . 8 <br /> feet, to a point in the Southeast corner of said Lot <br /> Seven (7) ; thence East, a distance of 10 feet, to a <br /> point in the Southwest corner of Lot Eight (8) of said <br /> Glatz Addition; thence North, along the West boundary <br /> line of said Lot Eight (8) , a distance of 221 . 8 feet, to <br /> a point in the Northwest corner of said Lot Eight (8) , <br /> said point also being in the South boundary line of <br /> Geddes Avenue; thence West, along the South line of <br /> Geddes Avenue, a distance of 10 feet, to the point of <br /> beginning; and, <br /> WHEREAS, said portion of said easement is no longer useful <br /> to the public or to the City or to the owners of property <br /> abutting thereon as an easement; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the public interest will be subserved by vacating <br /> said portion of said easement and the public will be relieved <br /> from any further burden or responsibility for maintaining said <br /> portion of said easement. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the above-described portion of said <br /> easement be, and the same is hereby, vacated as a public easement <br /> effective and upon the exceptions and conditions hereinafter <br /> provided, inasmuch as the same is no longer required for public <br /> use and the public interest will be subserved by said vacation, <br /> said portion of said easement being shown on the plat thereof <br /> hereto attached and hereby made a part hereof. <br />
