• J t • ORDINANCE NO. � U ^ / � �P AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY - 760 EAST GROVE ROAD - WHEREAS, there having been filed with the City Clerk, and by said Clerk presented to the Council herewith, the petition under oath of James E. Carlson requesting that there be annexed to the City territory described as: Part of the East 1/2 of the Southwest 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 26, Township 16 North, Range 2 East of the 3rd P.M. , said part being more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the Southwest corner of the Southeast 1/4 of said Section 26; thence North 88 degrees 32 ' 10" East a distance of 359.91 feet to the point of beginning; thence North 0 degrees 22 ' 22" West, a distance of 281. 17 feet; thence North 88 degrees 32' 10" East, a distance of 308. 80 feet; thence South 0 degrees 35' S4" East, a distance of 281. 15 feet; thence South 88 degrees 32 ' 10" West, a distance of 309.91 feet to the point of beginning. Situated in Macon County, Illinois. WHEREAS, it appears said petition is signed by the owners of record of all land within such territory and by at least 51$ of the electors residing thereon, and that said territory is contiguous to the City and not within the corporate limits of any city, village or incorporated town or other municipality; and, WHEREAS, notice of intention to take action for arinexation nas been given as required. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That said petition and the request thereof be, and the same are hereby, approved. Section 2. That said territory hereinabove described, along with all parts of public highways therein or next and adjacent thereto not heretofore annexed, if any, be, and the same are hereby, annexed to and are incorporated into the limits of the City of Decatur, Illinois, a municipal corporation.
