<br /> WHEREAS, there having been filed with the City Clerk, and by
<br /> said Clerk presented to the Council herewith, the petition under
<br /> oath of James E. Carlson requesting that there be annexed to the
<br /> City territory described as:
<br /> Part of the East 1/2 of the Southwest 1/4 of the
<br /> Southwest 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 26 ,
<br /> Township 16 North, Range 2 East of the 3rd P.M. , said
<br /> part being more particularly described as follows:
<br /> Commencing at the Southwest corner of the Southeast 1/4
<br /> of said Section 26; thence North 88 degrees 32 ' 10" East
<br /> a distance of 359. 91 feet to the point of beginning;
<br /> thence North 0 degrees 22 ' 22" West, a distance of 281 . 17
<br /> feet; thence North 88 degrees 32 ' 10" East, a distance of
<br /> 308 . 80 feet; thence South 0 degrees 35 ' 54" East, a
<br /> distance of 281. 15 feet; thence South 88 degrees 32 ' 10"
<br /> West, a distance of 309 .91 feet to the point of
<br /> beginning. Situated in Macon County, Illinois.
<br /> WHEREAS, it appears said petition is signed by the owners of
<br /> record of all land within such territory and by at least 51$ of
<br /> the electors residing thereon, and that said territory is
<br /> contiguous to the City and not within the corporate limits of any
<br /> city, village or incorporated town or other municipality; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, notice of intention to take action for annexation
<br /> has been given as requirec3.
<br />, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
<br />� CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS:
<br /> Section 1 . That said petition and the request thereof be,
<br /> and the same are hereby, approved.
