Hicks and Mildred V. Hicks requesting that there <br /> be annexed to the City territory described as: <br /> Lot Twenty (20) of Linden Lea, as per Plat recorded in <br /> Book 802 Page 35 of the records in the Recorder' s Office <br /> of Macon County, Illinois. <br /> WHEREAS, it appears said petition is signed by the owners of <br /> record of all land within such territory and by at least 51$ of <br /> the electors residing thereon, and that said territory is <br /> contiguous to the City and not within the corporate limits of any <br /> city, village or incorporated town or other municipality; and, <br /> WHEREAS, notice of intention to take action for annexation <br /> has been given as required. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That said petition and the request thereof be, <br /> and the same are hereby, approved. <br /> Section 2. That said territory hereinabove described, along <br /> with all parts of public highways therein or next and adjacent <br /> thereto not heretofore annexed, if any, be, and the same are <br /> hereby, annexed to and are incorporated into the limits of the <br /> City of Decatur, Illinois, a municipal corporation. <br /> Section 3 . That a plat of said annexed premises is attached <br /> hereto and hereby made a part hereof. <br /> Section 4. That the City Clerk cause certified copies of <br /> this ordinance to be respectively filed with the County Clerk and <br /> recorded by the Recorder of Deeds of Macon County, Illinois. <br />
