. �� . . <br /> ` 24 . PAYMENT OF CITATION. <br /> A. A person cited by a fire prevention officer for <br /> a violation of any section of this Chapter, or Section <br /> 12 of Chapter 48, as herein provided, may terminate any <br /> further proceedings by the City due to said violation by <br /> making payment to the City at the Office of the City <br /> Treasurer in the amount of Ten Dollars ($10.00) . <br /> Payment is considered as being made only when the City <br /> Treasurer is in receipt of the full amount. <br /> B. If a person is given a citation for a violation <br /> as herein provided, no complaint may be filed by an <br /> attorney on behalf of the City in any court having <br /> jurisdiction thereof seeking to prosecute and fine such <br /> person for said violation sooner than ten (10) days <br /> after such citation is issued, and no complaint may be <br /> filed if the citation is timely paid. <br /> C. The City Treasurer may accept payment of a <br /> citation issued hereunder after the ten-day period <br /> provided for herein, and upon such acceptance no <br /> prosecution for the cited violation may be filed or <br /> pursued by the City. <br /> Section 2. That Section 12 of Chapter 48 of the City Code <br /> of the City of Decatur, Illinois, be, and the same is hereby, <br /> modified and amended so that as so modified and amended said <br /> Section 12 of Chapter 48 provides as follows: <br /> 12. BURNING OF WASTE. <br /> (A) It shall be unlawful to burn any garbage <br /> or other waste within the corporate limits of the City <br /> of Decatur; provided that, landscape waste may be burned <br /> but only as herein provided. <br /> (B) Except as prohibited is subparagraph C <br /> hereof, landscape waste may be burned between sunrise <br /> and sunset upon the premises where it is produced when <br /> such burning does not produce in the atmosphere <br /> contamination in sufficient quantities and of such <br /> characteristics and duration as to be injurious to <br /> humans, plant or animal life, or health. <br /> (C) During the months of March, April, May, <br /> September, October, November and December, landscape <br /> waste may not be burned anywhere within the City of <br /> Decatur: <br /> (i) during an� day for which windspeed <br /> is predicted to be less than five (5) miles per hour or <br /> greater than twenty (20) miles per hour by the National <br /> Weather Service in its latest official weather forecast <br />
