Clark, Community Development Director <br /> SUBJECT: Annexation of right-of-way for Martin Luther <br /> King Jr. Drive extended north of Mound Road <br /> The subject strip of land extends north of Mound Road to a point <br /> approximately 700 feet south of Interstate 72 . Varying in width <br /> from fifty to sixty-six feet, this land is former railroad <br /> right-of-way; it was recently purchased by the City of Decatur <br /> for the ultimate purpose of extending Martin Luther King Jr. <br /> Drive. <br /> In keeping with the policy to annex City owned property where <br /> possible, staff recommends approval of the proposed annexation as <br /> presented. <br /> I <br />
