AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY - PROPERTY LYING BETWEEN ILLINOIS TERMINAL AND ILLINOIS CENTRAL RAILROAD ROWS AND NORTH OF ASH AVENUE EXTENDED EAST - WHEREAS, there having been filed with the City Clerk, and by said Clerk presented to the Council herewith, the petition under oath of Irma Bickes requesting that there be annexed to the City territory described as: Beginning on the North line of the NW 1/�, Section 26-17-2 East of the 3rd P.M. ; and the East ROW of the Illinois Terminal R.R. , thence East along the North line ' of said NW 1/4 to the West ROW line of the Illinois Central R.R. , thence South along the West ROW line of I the Illinois Central R.R. , to the South line of said NW 1/4, Section 26, thence West of the South line of said NW 1/4 Section 26 to the East ROW line of the Illinois Ter.ninal R.R. , thence North along the East ROW line of the Illinois Terminal R.R. to the point of beginning; and, WHEREAS, it appears said petition is signed by the owners of record of all land within such territory and that no electars reside therein, and that said territory is contiguous to the City �nd not within the corporate limits of any city, village or incorporated town or other municipality; and, WHEREAS, notice of intention to take action for annexation has be�n given as required. N�W, THEREFORE, BE YT ORDAINED BY THE COi7NCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That said petition and the request thereof be, and the same are hereby, approved. Section 2. That said territory hereinabove descri�ed, along with all parts of public highways therein or next and adjacent thereto not heretofore annexed, if any, be, and the same are hereby, annexed to and are incorporated into the limits of tre City of Decatur, Illinois, a municipal corporation.
