I d -' S� <br /> ORDINANCE ADOPTING CITY CODE CHAPTER <br /> - CHAPTER 51 . 1 - <br /> - HOME RULE MUNICIPAL AND SERVICE OCCUPATION TAX - <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1 . That the City Code of the City of Decatur, <br /> Illinois, be, and the same is hereby, amended and modified by <br /> adding thereto Chapter 51 . 1 , said Chapter 51 . 1 to be entitled <br /> "Home Rule Municipal and Service Occupation Tax" , and said <br /> Chapter 51 . 1 to provide as shown on Exhibit A attached hereto and <br /> hereby made a part hereof. <br /> Section 2. That the City Clerk be, and she is hereby, <br /> authorized and directed to file a certified copy of this <br /> Ordinance with the Illinois Department of Revenue on or before <br /> the first day of June, 1990. <br /> Section 3. That Chapter 51 of the City Code be, and the <br /> same is hereby, repealed; provided that, the repeal of Chapter 51 <br /> hereby shall not affect any liabilities accrued for any taxes <br /> under said Chapter 51 as of the effective date of this Ordinance, <br /> nor shall said repeal affect any civil or quasi-criminal acti�ns <br /> for such taxes pending as of said date, and the filing <br /> requirements and penalty provisions of said Chapter 51 shall <br /> apply fully to all such accrued liabilities and pending actions. <br /> Section 4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the lst <br /> day of September, 1990. <br /> PRESENTED, PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of <br /> May, 1990 . <br /> MAYOR <br /> ATTEST: <br /> � <br /> Y CLERK <br />
