Recorded in Book2343pa9e 2_ 69 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY � �y4/ - WEST MCKINLEY STREET - �18.D0 ch v C/ �' Fee� Recorder of Oeeds WHEREAS, there having been filed with the City Clerk, and by said Clerk presented to the Council herewith, the petition under oath of Joe Knott and others requesting that there be annexed to the City territory described as: Part of the West Half of the Northwest Quarter of Section 3, Township 16 North, Range 2 East of the 3rd P.M. , Macon County, Illinois, being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point 270. 80 feet West of the Southeast corner of the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest 1/4 of said Section 3, running thence West for 150 feet, thence North for 320.40 feet, thence East for 150 feet, thence South for 320 . 40 feet to the point of beginning. �I WHEREAS, it appears said petition is signed by the owners of record of all land within such territory and that no electors reside therein, and that said territory is contiguous to the City and not within the corporate limits of any city, village or incorporated town or other municipality; and, WHEREAS, notice of intention to take action for annexation has been given as required. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1 . That said petition and the request thereof be, and the same are hereby, approved. Section 2. That said territory hereinabove described, along with all parts of public highways therein or next and adjacent thereto not heretofore annexed, if any, be, and the same are hereby, annexed to and are incorporated into the limits of the City of Decatur, Illinois, a municipal corporation.
