M. <br /> Gaddis Addition as per plat recorded in Book 149 Page <br /> 584 of the records in the Recorder' s Office of Macon <br /> County, Illinois, thence East 16 feet to the East <br /> Right-of-Way of alley, thence North to the South <br /> Right-of-Way line of the Illinois Central Railroad, <br /> thence Westerly to the Northeast corner of Lot One (1) <br /> of said Addition, thence South to the point of <br /> beginning; and, <br /> WHEREAS, said portion of said alley is no longer useful to <br /> the public or to the City or to the owners of property abutting <br /> thereon as an alley; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the public interest will be subserved by vacating <br /> said portion of said alley and the public will be relieved from <br /> any further burden or responsibility for maintaining said portion <br /> of said alley. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the above-described portion of said alley <br /> be, and the same is hereby, vacated as a public alley effective <br /> and upon the exceptions and conditions hereinafter provided, <br /> inasmuch as the same is no longer required for public use and the <br /> public interest will be subserved by said vacation, said portion <br /> of said alley being shown on the plat thereof hereto attached and <br /> hereby made a part hereof. <br /> Section 2. That there is hereby reserved in, over, along <br /> and under the above-described portion of said alley to the City <br />� <br />
