Bickes and others requesting that there be <br /> annexed to the City territory described as: <br /> The West One-Half (1/2) of the Northwest One-Quarter <br /> (1/4) of Section Twenty-Six (26) Township Seventeen (17) <br /> North, Range Two (2) East of the Third Principal <br /> Meridian, EXCEPT the North thirty (30) acres thereof; <br /> and, <br /> WHEREAS, it appears said petition is signed by the owners <br /> of record of all land within such territory and that no electors <br /> reside therein, and that said territory is contiguous to the City <br /> and not within the corporate limits of any city, village or <br /> incorporated town or other municipality; and, <br /> WHEREAS, notice of intention to take action for annexation <br /> has been given as required. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That said petition and the request thereof be, <br /> and the same are hereby, approved. <br /> Section 2. That said territory hereinabove described, along <br /> with all parts of public highways therein or next and adjacent <br /> thereto not heretofore annexed, if any, be, and the same are <br /> hereby, annexed to and are incorporated into the limits of the <br /> City of Decatur, Illinois, a municipal corporation. <br /> Section 3. That a plat of said annexed premises is attached <br /> hereto and hereby made a part hereof. <br />
