` : i . ORDINANCE NO. �-' / � II! � I ORDINANCE REGARDING PAY AND CERTAIN BENEFITS - POLICE SERVICE - BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That effective May 1 , 1989 , and subject to the ' applicable provisions of existing ordinance or administrative order not inconsistent herewith, those positions assigned by ordinance or administrative order to pay grades or ranges in the police service be, and they are hereby, authorized to have attached thereto, and employees occupying said positions on May 1 , 1989, be, and they are hereby, authorized to be paid, the respective salary or wage set out for each such grade or range as shown on Exhibit A, said Exhibit A being attached hereto and hereby made a part hereof. Section 2. (a) That the salary and wage applicable to police patrol officers shall be increased by 10$ for such officers who are assigned to plain clothes duty in the Investigations Bureau by order of the Chief of Police for the period during which said officers are so assigned. (b) That the salary and wage applicable to police patrol officers shall be increased by 5$ for such officers who are designated as Master Patrol Officers by order of the Chief of Police for the period during which said officers are so assigned. ' Section 3 . That until the further order of the Council and effective the date hereof, an amount up to $175. 83 be, and it is hereby, authorized to be paid monthly on behalf of each employee in the classified police service participating in the dependent coverage por-cion of the medical, major medical and hospital group insurance plan, but only during such participation.
