U �' 0 <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE <br /> - CHAPTER 44 - <br /> - STORAGE OF FLAMMABLE AND COMBUSTIBLE LIQUIDS - <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1 . That Section 2 of Chapter 44 of the City Code <br /> be, and the same is hereby, modified and amended by adding to the <br /> end thereof the following language: <br /> "Whenever in this Chapter reference is made to <br /> ' flammable' or 'combustible' , said words shall be <br /> defined as in the rules and regulations duly promulgated ' <br /> by the Office of the State Fire Marshal. " ' <br /> Section 2 . That said Chapter 44 be, and the same is hereby, I�i <br /> further modified and amended by deleting Sections 18, 19 and 20 '! <br /> therefrom. <br /> Section 3 . That said Chapter 44 be, and the same is hereby, <br /> further modified and amended by adding thereto Sections 27 and <br /> 28, said Sections 27 and 28 to provide as follows: <br /> "Section 27 . Combustible liquids may be stored in, and <br /> dispensed from, aboveground storage tanks, but only in <br /> compliance with rules and regulations duly promulgated <br /> by the Office of the State Fire Marshal; provided that, <br /> not more than 2 ,500 gallons of combustible liquid may be <br /> stored at any one time in any one tank or vessel, <br /> anything in said rules and regulations to the contrary <br /> notwithstanding. This section does not apply to an <br /> approved bulk, processing or industrial plant or <br /> refinery which is in compliance with NFiPA 30. <br /> Section 28 . The storage of flammable liquids above <br /> ground, in any container other than concrete-encased <br /> tanks or vessels, is prohibited. This section does not <br /> apply to an approved bulk, processing or industrial <br /> plant or refinery which is in compliance with NFiPA 30 . " <br />
