- <br />�� - � _ _ ..._�„s�. . . <br /> August 22, 1989 <br /> PETITION FOR ZONING CHANGE <br /> T0: Mayor Gary Anderson <br /> City Council <br /> City Plan Commission <br />, The undersigned, George Weaver, Director of Planning, hereby <br />, requests that premises commonly known as 130 West Pythian Avenue <br /> be rezoned from R-3 Single Family Residence District to B-1 <br /> Neighborhood Shopping District . Said premises are legally <br /> described as follows : <br /> The West 60 feet of Lot 10 in Block 5 of <br /> Pythian Home Addition as per plat recorded <br /> in Book 300 Page 19 of the Records in the <br /> Recorder' s Office of Macon County, Illinois. <br /> The proposed zoning change is requested as a result of a <br /> separate zoning petition having been submitted to rezone adjoin- <br /> ing premises at 2605 and 2611 North Main Street from R-3 to B-1 . <br /> With this adjoining area being classified B-1 , the subject 40 ' x <br /> 60 ' tract would be bound on three sides by property in the B-1 <br /> classification. <br /> Staff is of the opinion that it would be in the best inter- <br /> est of land use and zoning practices to rezone the subject <br /> tract as proposed , thereby allowing it to be included in future <br /> redevelopment of the adjoining parcels as herein described. <br /> The owner' s of the area in question have been notified of <br /> thi� petition, and have verbally indicated their concurrence. <br /> Re�jjp�ectfully submitted , <br /> 4, � <br /> /`l V �f��`Y,�r/� <br /> �� t.- ...Y� <br /> G'e ro�e eaver <br /> Dire;ctor of Planning <br /> Depar ent of Community Development <br /> M112-89 <br />
