ORDINANCE N0. � � a �— r�'j��"p�"��� <br /> AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 7140 <br /> AND ESTABLISHING STOP INTERSECTION <br /> - WASHINGTON STREET - <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS : <br /> Section 1 . That Ordinance No. 7140 be, and the same is <br /> hereby, repealed. <br /> Section 2 . That when appropriate signs are erected giving <br /> notice thereof, the driver of a vehicle on Washington Street <br /> approaching South Water Street from the west shall stop and yield <br /> the right-of-way to vehicles on South Water Street which have <br /> entered the intersection of said streets or which are approaching <br /> so closely thereto as to constitute an immediate hazard, but said <br /> driver having so stopped and yielded the right-of-way �nay proceed , <br /> at such time as a safe interval occurs. <br /> Section 3 . That any person, firm or corporation who shall I <br /> violate any of the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon <br /> conviction, be fined not less than Ten Dollars ($10 . 00) nor more <br /> than Two Hundred Dollars ($200 . 00) for each offense. <br /> Section 4 .
