ORDINANCE N0. � / "" �U �1=�RC�iL;�lrD ORDINANCE ABATING LEVY GENE�tAL OBLIGATION BONDS SERIES OF DECEMBER, 1987 WHEREAS, by Ordinance No . 87-137 passed and approved December 7 , 1987 , the Council caused general obligation bonds of the City to be issued and did levy therein certain sums to pay the principal of and interest on said bonds ; and , WHEREAS, funds other than those raised by general taxation have or will become available to timely pay such principal and interest as the same become due in 1989 and 1990 . NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS : Section 1. That the levy for the year 1988 imposed by the provisions of Ordinance No . 87-137 in the amount of $326 , 900. 00 be , and the same is hereby, abated . Section 2 . The the County Clerk of the County of Macon, Illinois , be , and he is hereby, directed to refrain from extending said levy for said year . Section 3 . That the City Treasurer �be , and he is hereby, authorized and directed to timely pay said principal and interest from other funds of the City in the amount aforesaid � which said funds are hereby appropriated for said purpose . Section 4 . That the City Clerk be , and she is hereby, ' authorized and directed to cause a certified copy of this ordinance to be filed with said County Clerk.
