. <br /> � � <br /> ORDINANCE NO. � ��' �S �� <br /> CROF�L��ED <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE AND <br /> AUTHORIZING DEVELOPMENT OF WELL FIELD <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOS: <br /> Section 1 . That in order to secure and assure an adequate <br /> supply of water for the citizens of the City of Decatur, it is <br /> the intention of this Council to establish a system of water <br /> wells in proximity to the City of Decatur so as to supplement <br /> Lake Decatur as a source of water for the water supply system of <br /> said City, and to that end the Council hereby establishes its <br /> intention to spend up to $5 . 9 million dollars from the Water Fund <br /> to establish said well field. <br /> Section 2. That in order to finance the above-described <br /> well field, it is necessary that the rates for water use be <br /> raised by 7$ , and that said additional revenue shall be applied <br /> toward the construction of said well field, in addition to funds <br /> currently available from the bond issue for the South Water <br /> Treatment Plant. <br /> Section 3 . That the City Code of the City of Decatur, <br /> IZlinois, be, and the same is hereby, modified and amended at <br /> Section 10 of Chapter 64 thereof so that as so modified and <br /> amended said Section 10 of Chapter 64 provides as follows: . <br /> 1G . WATER CHARGES. The water charges shall be based upon '� <br /> the classification of service, the meter size and the quantity of I'� <br /> water furnished monthly or quarterly as the case may be, as <br /> follows: <br /> SERVICE CHARGE <br /> DOMESTIC SERVICE: <br /> Meter Size Quarterly - Per Meter <br /> All $ 3 .32 <br /> NON-DOMESTIC QUARTERLY SERVICE: <br /> Meter Size Quarterly - Per Meter <br /> 5/8" - 3/4" $ 8 .97 <br /> 1" - 1 1/4 - 1/2" 33 . 15 <br /> 2" - 3" - 4" 117 .00 <br />
