t <br /> r , <br /> ORDZNANCE NO. 88-104 <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE <br /> - CHAPTER 34 - <br /> - OVERTIME PARKING - <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the City Code of the City of Decatur, <br /> Illinois, be, and the same is hereby, modified and amended at <br /> Section 40 of Chapter 34 thereof by modifying Section 40 thereof <br /> so that as so modified and amended said Section 40 of Chapter 34 <br /> provides as follows: <br /> 40 . UNLAWFUL OVERTIME PARKING. It shall be unlawful <br /> for any person or operator to cause, allow, permit or <br /> suffer any vehicle to be parked beyond the period for <br /> which the coin inserted in the adjacent parking meter <br /> entitles the vehicle to occupy a parking space or for <br /> any period of time greater than the maximum period of <br /> time permitted for vehicular parking in said space. <br /> Section 2. That the City Code of the City of Decatur, <br /> Illinois, be, and the same is hereby, further modified and <br /> amended at Chapter 34 by modifying Section 55 thereof so that as <br /> so modified and amended said Section 55 of Chapter 34 provides as <br /> follows: <br /> 55 . HOLIDAYS AND WEEK-ENDS. <br /> A. Those days designated holidays upon which <br /> parking meters regulations shall not be enforced and the <br /> operation of the Motor Vehicle Parking System Garages <br /> shall be suspended, and for said purposes only, be, and <br /> they are hereby defined and designated as New Year' s <br /> Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, <br /> Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. <br /> B. Parking is permitted on each Saturday and <br /> Sunday at each on-street parking meter without inserting <br /> coin therein, but such parking shall be limited in time <br /> to a continuous period not to exceed the maximum time <br /> permitted for vehicular parking in said space. <br />
