. , �� ORDINANCE NO. �� 3 ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE - CHAPTER 70 - BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS : Section 1 . That Section 2 of Chapter 70 of the City Code be, and the same is hereby, modified and amended so that as so modified and amended said Section 2 shall provide as follows: "The same having been duly placed and remained on file as required by law, and subject to the additions , modifications, changes or deletions set out in this Chapter, the BOCA National Existing Structures Code/1987 of Building Officials and Code Administrators, International, Inc. , the same being found and declared by the Council to be regulations as defined by applicable statute, is hereby adopted by reference, the ' same to be known, and which may be cited as "The Property Maintenance Code" of the City, and which shall � have the scope and applicability as therein set out, I except as modified by the provisions of this Chapter. " Section 2 . That subsections (e) , (o) , (u) , (w) , (x) and (aa) of Section 7 of said Chapter 70 of the City Code be, and the same are hereby, modified and amended so that as so modified and amended said subsections provide as follows : (e) ES 103 . 4 . 1 by substituting the word "may" for the word "shall" wherever it appears in this subsection, except in the last sentence. (o) ES 112 . 1 by substituting the words "Housing and Construction Board of Appeals" for the word "board" where the latter word first appears in said subsection; by substituting the words "city clerk" for the word "board" where the latter word second appears in said subsection; and by substituting the number "10" for the number "20" . (u) ES 302 . 1 . 1 by deleting the phrases "in arabic figures" and "and 1/2 inch (13 mm) wide" from the second sentence and subs�ituting "2 inches (51 mm) " for "3 inches (76 mm) " in said sentence and inserting a period after the word "high" .
