MiCR0�1t�� <br /> ORD I NANCE NO. � � -' 3� <br /> ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING REMOVAL OF CERTAIN TRAFrIC <br /> CONTROL DEVICES AND ESTABLISHING STOP INTERSECTION <br /> - S�UTH SIDE DRIVE AND U.S . ROUTE 51 - <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> �ection 1 . ��hat the Director of Public Works be . and he is <br /> hereby , authoriz�d and directed to cause to be removed the <br /> electricail ,v operated traffic control signais located at the <br /> intersection of South Side Drive and U. S . Route 51 also known as <br /> signalized intersection #97 . <br /> Section 2 . That when appropriate signs are erected giving <br /> notice tnereof, the driver of a vehicie on South Side Drive <br /> approaching the above named intersection from either the east or <br /> west shall stop and yield the right-of-way to vehicles exiting <br /> U. S . Route 51 which have entered said intersection of said <br /> streets or which are approaching so closely thereto as to <br /> constitute an immediate hazard , but said driver having so stopped <br /> and yielded the right-of-way may proceed at such time as a sare <br /> inierval occurs . <br /> Section 3 . That all ordinances and parts of ordinances <br /> insofar as the same conflict with the provi�ions hereof be , and <br /> the same are hereby , repealed . <br /> Section 4 .
