� � � , ' � � ��„�$.i: ORDINANCE NO. � �— � ( AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY - EAST GROVE ROAD - WHEREAS , there having been filed with the City Clerk, and by , said Clerk presented to the Council herewith, the petition under oath of Ralph Sikes and Donna Sikes requesting that there be annexed to the City territory described as : ' The East One-Half E1 2 of the Southwest uarter ( / ) 4 ( SW1/4 ) of the Southwest Quarter ( SW1/4 ) of the Southeast Quarter ( SEl/4 ) of Section 26 , Township 16 North, Range 2 East of the Third Principal Meridian EXCEPT the following: ' Commencing at the Southwest Corner of the Southeast Quarter ( SEl/4 ) ; of said Section 26 ; thence North 88°32 ' 10" East a distance of 359 . 91 feet to the point of beginning: thence North 0°22 ' 22" West a distance of 281. 17 feet; thence North 88°32 ' 10" East a distance of 308. 80 feet; thence South 0°35 ' S4" East a distance of 281. 15 feet; thence South 88° 32 ' 10" West a distance of 309 . 91 feet to the point of beginning; containing 2 .00 acres, more or less . WHEREAS, it appears said petition is signed by the owners of record of all land within such territory and that no electors reside therein, and that said territory is contiguous to the City and not within the corporate limits of any city, viZlage or in�orporated town or other municipality; and, WHEREAS, notice of intention to take action for annexation has been given as required. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: � Section l. That said petition and the request thereof be, and the same are hereby approved. Section 2 . That said territory hereinabove described, along with all parts of public highways therein or next and adjacent thereto not heretofore annexed, if any, be, and the same are hereby, annexed to and are incorporated into the limits of the City of Decatur, Illinois , a municipal corporation.
