MONROE STREET - <br /> WHEREAS, there having been filed with the City Clerk, and by <br /> said Clerk presented to the Council herewith, the petition under <br /> oath of Ralph L. Davis and Mildred L. Davis requesting that there <br /> be annexed to the City territory described as: <br /> The North 85 1/2 feet of the South 171 feet of the <br /> following described tract: Beginning at a point on the <br /> , East line of the Northwest Quarter (NW1/4 ) of Section <br /> Three ( 3 ) Township Sixteen ( 16 ) North, Range Two ( 2 ) <br /> East of the 3rd P.M. , 522 feet North of the center of <br /> said Section 3, thence North 508 feet to a point 96 <br /> rods South of the Northeast corner of the Northwest <br /> Quarter of said Section 3; thence West 450.7 feet; <br /> thence South 509.4 feet; thence East 453.9 feet to the <br /> place of beginning. Containing 0.887± acres; and, <br /> WHEREAS, it appears said petition is signed by the owners of <br /> record of all land within such territory and by at least 51� of <br /> the electors residing therein, and that said territory is <br /> contiguous to the City and not within the corporate limits of any <br /> city, village or incorporated town or other municipality; and, <br /> WHEREAS, notice of intention to take action for annexation <br /> has been given as required. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> � Section l. That said petition and the request thereof be, <br /> and the same are hereby approved. <br /> Section 2. That said territory hereinabove described, along <br /> with all parts of public nighways therein or next and adjacent <br /> thereto not heretofore annexed, if any, be, and the same are <br /> hereby, annexed to and are incorporated into the limits of the <br /> City of Decatur, Illinois, a municipal corporation. <br /> Section 3.
