.' ~ ` ��C�� ORDINANCE NO. ��D � AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY - 4050 WEST MAIN STREET - WHEREAS, there having been filed with the City Clerk, and by said Clerk presented to the Council herewith, the petition under oath of Lowell Maxwell and Aileen B. MaxwelZ requesting that there be annexed to the City territory described as : Beginning at a point 1746 . 36 feet East and 982 . 74 feet South of the Northwest Corner of Section 18 , Township 16 North, Range 2 East of the 3rd P.M. to the said place of beginning, said place of beginning being the Northwest Corner of Sharon Cemetery, thence South along the West line of said cemetery, 417 .12 feet to the Decatur and Springfield Road, thence South 82° West along the centerline of said Road 305 . 18 feet , thence North 524 feet to a stone that is 1453 feet East of the West line of said Section 18-16-2E and 970 feet more or less South of the North line of said Section 18-16-2E thence South 2° 18 feet East 304 . 26 feet to the place of beginning, containing 3 .18 acres more or less; and, WHEREAS, it appears said petition is signed by the owners of record of all land within such territory and by at least 510 of the electors residing therein, and that said territory is contiguous to the City and not within the corporate limits of any city, village or incorporated town or other municipality; and, WHEREAS, notice of intention to take action for annexation has been given as required. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section l. That said petition and the request thereof be, and the same are hereby approved. Section 2 . That said territory hereinabove described, along with all parts of public highways therein or next and adjacent thereto not heretofore annexed, if any, be, and the same are hereby, annexed to and are incorporated into the limits of the City of Decatur, Tllinois , a municipal corporation.
