COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT MEMORANDUM <br /> N0. 87-117 <br /> September 17, 1987 <br /> TO: Leslie T. Allen, City Manager <br /> FROM: ��Robert Menzies , Planning Coordinator <br /> Department of Community Development <br /> SUBJECT: Annexation of premises commonly <br /> known as 1350 and 1390 <br /> West Grove Road <br /> A valid petition requesting annexation of the above listed <br /> properties has been filed with the City Clerk's Office. <br /> Containing 2.9 acres , the premises are developed with two single <br /> family dwellings . The reason for requesting annexation is to <br /> obtain city water. <br /> An existing water main is adjacent to and readily available to <br /> the lots in the right-of-way of West Grove Road. There is no <br /> sanitary sewer immediately available to serve the lots . <br /> It is noted that West Grove Road right-of-way in front of these <br /> properties is currently within the City limits . <br /> The Finance Department reports a taxable assessed valuation of <br /> $11, 674 for these properties which could result in approximately <br /> $444 of additional annual revenue from the combined total of real <br /> estate, state income, and motor fuel taxes . <br /> Staff recognizes the subject request as providing a logical <br /> extension of the corporate limits , we recommend approval of the <br /> petition as presented. <br />
