MAIN STREET <br /> WHEREAS, a request has been received from St. Paul' s <br /> Lutheran Church, the owner of all property abutting thereon, <br /> requesting vacation of a portion of that certain alley in the <br /> City of Decatur, Illinois , said portion of said alley being more <br /> particularly described as: <br /> The South 20 feet of the North 170 feet of Block 11 of <br /> Western Addition to Decatur as per Plat recorded in <br /> Book H, Page 103 of the records in the Recorder' s <br /> Office of Macon County, Illinois , and containing 0.184 <br /> acres , more or less. <br />' r s ful I <br /> WHEREAS, said portion of said alley is no longe u e to <br /> the ublic or to the Cit or to the owners of property abutting <br /> A Y <br /> thereon and the public interest will be subserved by vacating <br /> said portion of said alley and the public will be relieved from <br /> any further burden or responsibility for opening, improving or <br /> maintaining said portion of said alley. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the above described portion of said all�y <br /> be, and the same is hereby, vacated as a public alley upon the <br /> conditions hereinafter provided inasmuch as the same is no longer <br /> required for public use and the public interest will be subserved <br /> by such vacation, said portion of said alley being shown on the <br /> plat thereof hereto attached and hereby made a part hereof. <br /> Section 2 . That there is hereby reserved in, over, along <br /> and under the above-described portion of said alley, to the City <br /> of Decatur, Illinois , and to the public and to those utilities <br /> and companies as the case may be owning public service <br /> facilities, mains, sewers , telephone and electrical or other <br /> public utilities , such property, rights of way and easements as <br /> are or may be necessary or desirable for continuing public <br /> service by means of such facilities and for the maintenance, <br /> renewal, and reconstruction thereof with the right of ingress and <br /> egress for such purposes . <br />
