. � <br /> LEGAL DEPARTMENT MEMORANDUM <br /> No. 87-9 <br /> April 28 , 1987 <br /> T0: City Manager <br /> FROM: Corporation Counsel <br /> RE : Illinois Power Company <br /> Old Council Chamber Parking Lot. <br /> Firehouse No. 1 , is served with electricity from a pole <br /> on the west side of Franklin Street which is , in turn , <br /> served from a primary line from the west on the north side <br /> of Washington. This Washington Street primary will be <br /> abandoned and removed in connection with the construction of <br /> the new law enforcement facility. <br /> In order to continue service to the firehouse and <br /> several street lights along Franklin , the power company <br /> proposes to go south from Wood to Washington over the west <br /> five feet of the parking lot by the old Council Chambers and <br /> bus garage . The line would then go west on Washington and <br /> then north on the east side of Franklin under ground. <br /> A plat of the proposed easement and an appropriate form <br /> of ordinance are transmitted herewith. <br /> HCL :pm <br /> Attachments <br />
