• � ����� <br /> ORDINANCE N0. �� � 1 <br /> ORDINANCE REGARDING PAY <br /> - POLICE SERVICE - <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS : <br /> Section 1 . That effective May 1 , 1987 , and subject to the <br /> applicable provisions of existing ordinance or administrative <br /> order not inconsistent herewith, those positions assigned by <br /> ordinance or administrative order to pay grades or ranges in the <br /> police service be , and they are hereby, authorized to have <br /> attached thereto , and employees occupying said positions on May <br /> l , 1987 , be , and they are hereby, authorized to be paid , the <br /> respective salary or wage set out for each such grade or range as <br /> shown on Exhibit A, said Exhibit A being attached hereto and <br /> hereby made a part hereof. <br /> Section 2 . That effective May 1 , 1987 , those employees in <br /> the police service who have occupied position classifications as <br /> set out in Exhibit A for not less than five years shall receive <br /> longevity pay, in addition to the wage set out in said Exhibit A <br /> as provided in Section 1 hereof , according to the following ' <br /> schedule : <br /> Employees with not less than 5 years but <br /> fewer than 10 years - lo <br /> Employees with not less than 10 years but <br /> fewer than 15 years - 2� <br /> Employees with not less than 15 years but <br /> fewer than 20 years - 3� <br /> Employees with not less than 20 years - 4� � <br /> The additional percentage referred to herein shall be that <br /> percentage of a patrol officer ' s salary at Step 18(F) as shown in '�, <br /> said Exhibit A and shall be paid pro rata biweekly. ' <br />
