. �/ M ORDINANCE N0. � / — � � ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE CHAPTER 65 - WATERMAIN CONNECTION CHARGES BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1 . That the City Code of the City of Decatur , Illinois, be, and it is hereby amended at Section 4 of Chapter 65 " thereof so that said Section as so amended shall provide as follows: 4. If the main or lateral to be tapped or connected with is a city main or lateral, whether the same was con- structed by the City, or other, and the cost paid by other than special assessment, the connection charges shall be computed by applying the hereinafter provided for applicable rate for each front foot of the lot or parcel of land to be served by such tap or connection, said rate to be determined by the time during which such main or lateral was constructed as follows: Before After After 8/31/76 8/31/76 6/30/86 Base Single Payment for Each Front Foot $ 5.00 $ 7. 50 $ 11. 00 Installment Payments for Each Front Foot: Down Payment with Application 2. 00 3. 00 4.40 Six Subsequent Annual Payments each . 65 .95 1 . 15 Total Payment by Installments 5.90 8.70 14.30 Minimum Total Charge per Connection 200. 00 300. 00 440. 00 Regardless of Footage The required connection charge may be paid as a base single payment, or may be paid in install- ments by paying a down payment and six subsequent annual payments, The down payment shall accompany the application for the permit to tap or connect with the main or lateral. The succeeding annual installments shall become due, and are payable, on or before the annual anniversary date of the application.
