� . . <br /> � <br /> MIC�3f ILIIi�O <br /> . . <br /> ORDINANCE NO. �� I <br /> AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY <br /> - 615 AND 645 EAST DEVONSHIRE - <br /> WHEREAS , there having been filed with the City Clerk, and by <br /> said Clerk presented to the Council herewith, the petition under <br /> oath of James A. Berg and others requesting that there be annexed <br /> to the City territory described as: <br /> The East 152 .4 feet of the West 225 feet of Lot <br /> Twenty-Three ( 23 ) of McCaleb Subdivision as per Plat <br /> recorded in Book 300 Page 130 of the records in the <br /> Recorder 's Off ice of Macon County, Illinois ; and, <br /> WHEREAS , it appears said petition is signed by the owners of <br /> recorc� of all land within such territory and by at least Sla of <br /> the electors residing therein, and that said territory is <br /> contiguous to the City and not within the corporate limits of any <br /> city, village or incorporated town or other municipality; and, <br /> WHEREAS , notice of intention to take action for annexation <br /> has been given as required. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OI' THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That said petition and the request thereof be, <br /> and the same are hereby approved. <br /> Section 2 . That said territory hereinabove described, along <br /> with all parts of public highways therein or next and adjacent <br /> thereto not heretofore annexed, if any, be , and the same are <br /> hereby, annexed to and are incorporated into the limits of the <br /> City of Decatur, Illinois , a municipal corporation. <br /> Section 3 . That a plat of said annexed premises is attached <br /> hereto and made a part hereof . <br />
