Bennett and Delores A. Bennett requesting that <br /> there be annexed to the City territory described as: <br /> The No=th 1/2 of Lot Eight (8) of Fairground Home <br /> Sites as per Plat recorded in� Book 802 Page 112 of the <br /> records in the Recorder's Office of Macon County, <br /> Illinois; and, <br /> WHEREAS, it appears said petition is signed by the owners of <br /> record of all land within such territory and by at least 51� of <br /> the electors residing therein, and that said territory is <br /> contiguous to the City and not within the corporate limits of any <br /> city, village or incorporated town or other municipality; and, <br /> WHEREAS, notice of intention to take action for annexation <br /> has been given as required. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That said petition and the request thereof be, <br /> and the same are hereby approved. <br /> Section 2. That said territory hereinabove described, along <br /> with all parts of public highways therein or next and adjacent <br /> thereto not heretofore annexed, if any, be, and the same are <br /> hereby, annexed to and are incorporated into the limits of the <br /> City of Decatur, Illinois , a municipal corporation. <br /> Section 3. That a plat of said annexed premises is attached <br /> hereto and made a part hereof. <br />
