Q� And <br /> JUN 10��6 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 86-41 22pa 7?1 <br /> R�corded in 8o k._,__ ape_ <br /> � <br /> c �w+g�+y�'. <br /> �'� Q � <br /> AN ORDINANCE VACATING PORTION Fa���= �o►der ot Oeeds <br /> OF EAST WASHINGTON STREET L" <br /> . �C� In <br /> • WHEREAS, the Council has approved Block 7 of South <br /> Addition, as the site for the Macon County Law Enforcement <br /> Facility; and, <br /> WHEREAS, said site is separated from the existing <br /> County Building by a one block segment of East Washington <br /> Street; and, <br /> WHEREAS, it is in the public interest that those <br /> facilities be physically connected; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Decatur Public Building Commission has <br /> requested the City to vacate said segment of said street; <br /> and, <br /> WHEREAS, upon construction of _said law enforcement <br /> facility said segment of said street will no longer be <br /> useful to or needed by the public as a street. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the following described portion of <br /> East Washington Street, upon the f iling of this ordinance <br /> with the Recorder of Deeds, be, and the same is hereby, <br /> vacated: <br /> Beginning at the Northwest corner of Block 7 of <br /> South Addition to Decatur as per Plat recorded in <br /> Book G Page 553 of the Records in the Recorder's <br /> Off ice of Macon County, Illinois; thence East to <br /> the Northeast corner of said Block 7; thence North <br /> to the Southeast corner of Block 2 of said South <br /> Addition; thence West to the Southwest corner of <br /> said Block 2; thence South to the place of <br /> beginning. <br />
