That This Instr�e�t yyas FHed Fo: <br /> ��ecord At ' AM <br /> �`� And <br /> l SEP -2��6 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. � � <br /> ReCorded In 8o��_pe0�� <br /> �:ti � Y RwMO (" <br /> ORDZNANCE VACATING PORTIONS OF STREETS F9�, 17.�0� <br /> �er of Deed? <br /> - NORTH MORGAN STREET - <br /> - EAST NORTH STREET - ���'�'RO�I.i� <br /> WHEREAS, a Petition has been received from Carter-Wallace, <br /> Inc. , the owner of all property abutting thereon requesting <br /> vacation by �ne Ci�y Cou.^.cil of portions of streets in the City <br /> of Decatur, Illinois , said portions of said streets being more <br /> particularly described as : <br /> SEE EXHIBIT A ATTACHED HERETO AND <br /> HEREBY MADE A PART HEREOF <br /> WHEREAS, the Decatur City Plan Commission held a public <br /> hearing upon said Petition on May l, 1986 and did thereafter <br /> recommend to the Council that the prayer of said petition be <br /> denied and said portions of said streets not be vacated as <br /> requested; and, <br /> WHEREAS, said portions of said streets are no longer useful <br /> to the public or to the City or to the owners of property <br /> abutting thereon and the public interest will be subserved by <br /> vacating said portions of said streets and the public will be <br /> relieved from any further burden or responsibility for opening, <br /> improving or maintaining said portions of said streets . <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section l. That the recommendation of the Decatur City Plan <br /> Commission be, and the same is hereby, received, placed on file <br /> and disapproved. <br /> Section 2. That the above described portions of said North <br /> Morgan Street and East North Street be, and the same are hereby, <br /> vacated as public streets , upon the exceptions and conditions <br /> hereinafter provided inasmuch as the same are no longer required <br />
