MAY 29 ����► <br /> ORDINANCE NO. � 86-38 RecordaQ In 80�6:Paqe�,.�Q <br /> . �?�,.,�,�.4`���.1,�: <br /> Foe13!.04�ec�TtJer c <br /> ORDINANCE VACATING R IONS OF STREETS p� Deed. <br /> - NORTH MORGAN STREET - <br /> - EAST 1VORTH STR£ET - <br /> WHEREAS, a Petition has been received from Carter-Wallace, <br /> Inc. , the owner of all property abutting thereon requesting <br /> vacation by the City Council of portions of streets in the City <br /> of DecatLr, Illinois, said portions o= said streets being more <br /> particularly described as: <br /> SEE EXHIBIT A ATTACHED HERETO AND <br />' HEREBY MADE A PART HEREOF <br /> WHEREAS, the Decatur City Plan Commission held a public <br /> hearing upon said Petition on May .1, 1986 and did thereafter <br /> recommend to the Council that the prayer of said petition be <br /> denied and said portions of said streets not be vacated as <br />, requested; and, <br />' WHEREAS, said portions of said streets are no longer useful <br /> to the public or to the City or to the owners of property <br /> abutting thereon and the public interest will be subserved by <br /> vacating said portions of said streets and the public will be I', <br /> relieved from any further burden or responsibility for opening, ' <br /> improving or maintaining said portions of said streets. ' <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section l. That the recommendation of the Decatur City Plan <br /> Commission be, and the same is hereby, received, placed on file <br /> and disapproved. <br /> Section 2.. That the above described portions of said North <br /> Morgan Street and East North Street be, and the same are hereby, <br /> vacated as public streets, upon the exce tions an <br /> P d conditions <br /> hereinafter provided inasmuch as the same are no longer required <br />
